how it all began...

When I was little I loved weddings and marriage and would always marry off my barbies. As I got older I started collecting wedding magazines and making mood boards before Pinterest ever existed. It wasn't until I moved to South Africa in 2011 that I realized planning weddings was what I wanted to do. I went to South Africa to do missions work and while there I met a professional wedding planner who became one of my good friends. She let me apprentice with her to see this job and industry first hand. I thrived in the high paced, high stress environment and felt so honoured to be able to be a part of a couples' most important day.

Returning home, I finished university and got engaged to my high school sweetheart. I loved planning my wedding yet I realized even as a wedding planner in training, I still needed help. I needed someone to make all my dreams, plans and hard work a reality and I knew I didn't want my mother or friends running around working on my wedding day. As organized and versed as I was in all things weddings, I couldn't put boutonnieres on my grandparents, open the venue and light the candles, clean up the ceremony, get people organized for family photos, get the cake ready to be cut, cue the master of ceremonies, check in with the catering company, add the extra seat for the guest that showed up but didn't rsvp and much more! It was at my wedding in 2013 that I understood how crucial a wedding planner is to execute the many details of the day.

In the following years through word of mouth I've had the honour of helping brides plan their wedding. Through this I've understood that time is such a valuable commodity and many brides don't have the time, energy or expertise to plan their dream day and would really love some help! I realized that I wanted to pursue wedding planning on a more serious level because I love these brides and truly have a heart for helping these couples plan such an important day. I took the next step and enrolled in school, graduating from Wedding Planners Institute of Canada in 2016. I have loved getting to know each couple and their love story and would be honoured to share your story! My clients have turned into friends and I would want nothing less for you.

I would love to meet you and discuss how I can best help you plan your wedding!
